Policy Updated Date: 05/02/2026
These Ticket Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all tickets purchased through the Make It Personal Events website, online ticketing platforms operated by or on behalf of Make It Personal Events, and, where applicable, tickets purchased directly at an event.
By purchasing a ticket from Make It Personal Events ("we", "us", "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. These Terms form part of the agreement between you and Make It Personal Events in relation to your ticket purchase.
These Terms are intended to operate in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights that you may have as a consumer.
1.1. Tickets purchased through our website or authorised ticketing systems constitute a booking for the specific event, date, time, venue and ticket type stated at the time of purchase.
1.2. The person purchasing the ticket is responsible for ensuring that the event details, date, time, venue, ticket type and number of tickets are correct before completing the purchase.
1.3. Once a ticket purchase has been completed, tickets cannot normally be cancelled or refunded simply because the purchaser or ticket holder subsequently decides that they no longer wish to attend or is unable to attend.
1.4. This includes, but is not limited to, illness, personal circumstances, change of plans, transport difficulties, work commitments, holidays or any other reason preventing the ticket holder from attending.
1.5. Where permitted by the specific event arrangements, tickets may be transferable to another person. Any transfer must not be for commercial resale or profit unless expressly authorised by Make It Personal Events.
2.1. Tickets are non-refundable where the ticket holder is unable or chooses not to attend an event, subject to any rights the customer may have under applicable law.
2.2. Failure to attend an event does not entitle the purchaser to a refund, credit, exchange or compensation.
2.3. We strongly recommend that customers check their availability before purchasing tickets.
3.1. We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or alter an event where reasonably necessary.
3.2. Circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
Severe or unsuitable weather conditions;
Staff sickness or staff availability;
Venue closure or venue availability;
Government instructions, restrictions or recommendations;
Advice or recommendations from emergency services, local authorities or other competent authorities;
Health and safety concerns;
Circumstances outside our reasonable control;
Failure of essential suppliers, contractors or event infrastructure; or
Any other circumstances where proceeding with the event would, in our reasonable opinion, be unsafe, impractical or not reasonably possible.
3.3. Where an event is postponed or rescheduled, our first intention will normally be to provide the event on an alternative date rather than immediately cancelling the event.
3.4. Where an event is rescheduled, tickets purchased for the original event will normally remain valid for the replacement date unless we notify customers otherwise.
3.5. Where applicable law requires us to offer a refund because an event has been cancelled or materially changed, we will provide the applicable remedy in accordance with that law.
3.6. Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts any statutory right to a refund or other remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
3.7. Where an alternative date is offered, customers should follow the instructions provided by Make It Personal Events regarding the validity or transfer of their existing tickets.
4.1. Many of our events are held partially or entirely outdoors. Weather conditions may therefore affect the operation of an event.
4.2. We will make reasonable efforts to continue an event where it is safe and reasonably practicable to do so.
4.3. Where weather conditions make an event unsafe or impractical, we may delay, alter, postpone or cancel the event.
4.4. Where reasonably possible, we will provide customers with information regarding any change to the event through the contact details supplied at the time of booking and/or through our official communication channels.
5.1. A valid ticket must be presented at the entrance to the event venue.
5.2. Tickets may be presented electronically or in another format specified by Make It Personal Events.
5.3. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their ticket can be accessed and displayed when requested.
5.4. Make It Personal Events reserves the right to refuse admission where a ticket cannot be verified as valid, has already been used, has been cancelled, duplicated, obtained fraudulently or is otherwise invalid.
5.5. Admission is also subject to any reasonable venue rules, event rules, health and safety requirements, age restrictions and security procedures applicable to the event.
6.1. Where tickets are available for purchase at the event venue, availability is not guaranteed.
6.2. Many Make It Personal Events events may sell out in advance.
6.3. The fact that tickets have previously been available for purchase at the venue does not mean that tickets will be available on the day.
6.4. Customers wishing to attend a particular event are therefore strongly advised to purchase tickets in advance.
7.1. Every person attending an event must hold a valid ticket unless the specific event's advertised terms expressly state otherwise.
7.2. This applies regardless of age and includes babies, infants, children and adults.
7.3. Where an event has specific age requirements, supervision requirements or free-ticket arrangements, these will be clearly stated in the event information.
7.4. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all members of their party have the appropriate ticket before arriving at the event.
8.1. Events may be subject to maximum capacities imposed by the venue, licensing authority, fire safety requirements or other applicable restrictions.
8.2. Once an event reaches its permitted capacity, admission may not be possible, even where a customer believes they have a ticket.
8.3. Customers should therefore arrive in sufficient time to allow for ticket checking and entry procedures.
9.1. We reserve the right, where reasonably necessary, to make reasonable changes to an event, including changes to entertainment, performers, schedules, activities, layout or other event arrangements.
9.2. Such changes will not automatically entitle a customer to a refund unless the change gives rise to a legal right to a refund or other remedy.
9.3. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to customers where appropriate.
10.1. Make It Personal Events and/or the venue reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the event, any person whose behaviour presents a safety, security or operational concern or who breaches event or venue rules.
10.2. This may include, but is not limited to, abusive, threatening, violent, discriminatory, intoxicated or disruptive behaviour.
10.3. Customers may also be refused admission or removed where they fail to comply with reasonable security, health and safety or licensing requirements.
10.4. Where admission is refused or a person is removed due to their own behaviour or breach of these Terms or the event rules, they will not normally be entitled to a refund, subject to applicable law.
11.1. Customers are responsible for keeping their tickets safe and accessible.
11.2. If a ticket is lost, deleted or becomes inaccessible, customers should contact us as soon as possible.
11.3. We may, at our discretion and where we can reasonably verify the original purchase, assist with replacement or reissue of a ticket.
11.4. We cannot guarantee that replacement tickets will be available.
12.1. Tickets must not be resold for profit or commercial gain without the prior written permission of Make It Personal Events.
12.2. We reserve the right to cancel tickets where permitted by law if they have been obtained or resold in breach of applicable ticketing terms.
12.3. Make It Personal Events is not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorised third parties or secondary sellers.
13.1. Our standard policy is that customers cannot obtain a refund simply because they are unable or unwilling to attend an event.
13.2. However, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits any rights or remedies that you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
13.3. Where Make It Personal Events cancels an event and applicable law requires a refund, the appropriate refund will be provided.
13.4. Where an event is rescheduled, the arrangements communicated to customers will explain whether tickets remain valid for the new date and whether any refund or alternative remedy is available.
13.5. Any refund that is due will normally be processed using the original payment method, subject to the requirements of the relevant payment provider and applicable law.
14.1. Unless otherwise required by law, Make It Personal Events is not responsible for costs incurred by customers in connection with attending an event, including travel, accommodation, parking, meals or other personal expenses.
14.2. Customers are responsible for making their own arrangements and should consider this before purchasing tickets.
15.1. Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information when purchasing tickets.
15.2. Where we need to communicate important information regarding an event, we may use the email address, telephone number or other contact details provided during the booking process.
15.3. Customers should also monitor official Make It Personal Events communication channels and the event information supplied with their booking.
16.1. By purchasing a ticket from Make It Personal Events, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Ticket Terms & Conditions;
You agree to comply with these Terms;
You understand our policy regarding non-attendance and refunds;
You understand that events may be postponed, rescheduled, altered or cancelled where reasonably necessary;
You understand that tickets are required for every attendee unless an event specifically states otherwise;
You understand that admission is subject to event and venue rules; and
You accept that these Terms form part of the agreement between you and Make It Personal Events.
17.1. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, events, legal requirements or operational procedures.
17.2. The Terms applicable to your ticket purchase will be those displayed and made available to you at the time of purchase, subject to any changes required by law.
18.1. These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to a ticket purchase shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
18.2. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights or your right to rely upon any mandatory consumer protection legislation applicable to you.
